Martin Machoň

Chairman of APS Board of Directors, CEO and Owner of APS Group

Martin, the Chairman of the Board and CEO of APS Group, founded APS in 2004. He is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of APS Group and its businesses. With over 21 years of experience in distressed debt management, investment, and advisory, he has overseen APS Group’s operations since its inception. In 2015, he became the sole owner of APS Group. Martin earned his MBA degree from the University of Rochester, New York.

Petr Kohout

CEO of APS Investments and Group CFO

Petr has more than 25 years of experience in financial services industry both in the Czech Republic and internationally. He spent 12 years in Société Générale Group and acted also as a CEO of its consumer finance subsidiary in Vietnam. Prior to joining APS, he acted as a Group CFO of Homecredit, the largest POS financing provider in the world and worked also for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and ING.

Roman Šedivý

CEO of APS Recovery

Roman has been working in APS for more than 8 years: initially as the Head of Recovery in APS CZ&SK, later in Business Development establishing new APS Recovery subsidiaries and since 2020 he took over also the responsibility for the teams covering ‘Under 5’ investment projects, HR, Reporting and Business systems. And then he acted as COO of APS Recovery. He graduated from University of Economics in Prague.

Viktor Tóth

Chief Investment Officer

Viktor is leading the APS investment team in Bratislava and Bucharest and joined the Investment team in 2013. Viktor is managing acquisitions across all the markets where APS is active or expanding and has experience with the wide spectrum of distressed assets. Prior to joining APS, Viktor was working for more than seven years in private equity. Viktor served as the Head of Fund Administration at Munich Private Equity Partners, prior to that Viktor was working with Swiss Re Private Equity Partners.

Tereza Šimanovská

General Counsel

Tereza is responsible for managing internal legal services and coordinating external legal advisors. She joined APS in 2015 after spending 5 years at Clifford Chance and 2 years at Allen and Overy Prague, where she focused on cross border M&A, corporate and anti-trust law. In 2013 she qualified as advocate registered with Czech Bar Association.

Mihai – Alexandru Pop

Transactions Leader

Mihai re-joined us in 2022 and taking on responsibilities as a Transactions Leader. He was previously with APS Investments for five years before spending three years at Balbec Capital in a regional transaction role. Prior to that, Mihai led M&A transactions for EY and a boutique investment bank for 11 years.

Ioannis Kesisis

Country Manager (Bulgaria)

Ioannis joined APS in 2021 year. He has overall more than 15 years of experience in business, out of which 11 years in the Banking sector, occupying in the past positions of Head of NPL Department in Alpha Bank Bulgaria, Director Problem Loans and Workouts Division in Piraeus Bank Bulgaria and 2 years in an International Business Consulting Company acting as Country Manager for Bulgaria. Ioannis holds a Master’s degree in Law from Sofia University Saint Kliment Ohridski, a Master’s degree in Banking Management from New Bulgarian University and an Executive MBA from Sheffield University.

Maja Dubenik

Country Manager (Croatia)

With over 11 years of experience in the legal and financial services industry, Maja has spent the past 8 years at APS Croatia. She began her tenure at APS Croatia as the Head of Legal and Compliance, leading a team of advisors and managing compliance risks. Currently, she serves as the Country Manager in APS Croatia, overseeing all company functions and driving financial performance. Maja holds a law degree from the University of Zagreb, has passed the Croatian Bar Exam, and possesses certifications in bankruptcy management and real estate brokerage. She has also successfully completed the Executive MBA program at EDHEC Business School in Paris.

Márton Perjési

Country Manager (Hungary)

Since joining APS Marton is responsible for the operation and development of APS Hungary. Marton has over 9 years of experience in corporate and retail workout both on legal and business side as he worked for Raiffeisen Bank before holding different managerial positions at CIB Bank Hungary and other Intesa Sanpaolo subsidiaries. Marton gained MSc in Law at Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest and had his BAR exam with excellent proficiency.

Minas Athanasiadis

Country Manager (Greece)

Minas is heading the business activities of APS in Greece since 2021. Prior to joining APS he had worked in senior managerial and executive board positions in various international and Greek financial institutions, as well as consulting companies including Alpha Bank Serbia, Unicredit Athens, Bank of America Athens, Chase Frankfurt, Soc-Gen Frankfurt . His 35+ years of professional life span the full range of commercial and investment banking in various jurisdictions. Since 2016 he is predominantly dealing with distressed investing and recoveries.

Radu - Gabriel Dobre

Country Manager (Romania)

With more than 18 years of legal expertise, acting as consultant and pleading attorney, Radu has spent the last 9 years in APS, where he climbed the ranks from in-house Lawyer to Team Leader in the large corporate recovery department, then Deputy Corporate Recovery Director and Corporate Recovery Director. Since 2022 he holds the Country Manager role for APS Romania. Radu has a law degree from Iasi University and is a member of Romania Bar since 2006. During this time, he has gained experience in insolvency, commercial and civil law, offering extended consultancy services and oversight in these areas of expertise.

Sebastian Ittner

Country Manager (Poland)

Sebastian has 12 years of experience in the debt collection industry. He started his professional career by working as a negotiator and then as a back-office employee of a law firm, he cooperated with court bailiffs. From 2016, he has been working as a Key Account Manager in a debt collection company operating in the B2B area, then from 2019 he served as the company's proxy. Since 2021, he has been working at APS Poland as the legal department manager and in 2024 has been promoted to a Country Manager. He has extensive experience in broadly understood debt collection in B2B area, retail and mortgage-secured cases.

Tomáš Chloupek

Country Manager (Czech Republic)

Tomáš joined APS in 2005 and has worked for the company in various positions in the Czech Republic and abroad. He has now returned to the position of Country Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Tomáš graduated from the Faculty of Law in Prague and prior to joining APS he worked at Komerční banka as Director of the Department for the Resolution of Non-Performing Consumer Loans and Mortgages.
