Martin Machoň

CEO & Owner, APS Holding

Martin, the Chairman of the Board and CEO of APS Group, founded APS in 2004. He is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of APS Group and its businesses. With over 20 years of experience in distressed debt management, investment, and advisory, he has overseen APS Group’s operations since its inception. In 2015, he became the sole owner of APS Group. Martin earned his MBA degree from the University of Rochester, New York.

Petr Kohout

Chief Executive Officer, APS Investments

Petr has more than 25 years of experience in financial services industry both in the Czech Republic and internationally. He spent 12 years in Société Générale Group and acted also as a CEO of its consumer finance subsidiary in Vietnam. Prior to joining APS, he acted as a Group CFO of Homecredit, the largest POS financing provider in the world and worked also for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and ING.

Viktor Tóth

Chief Investment Officer, APS Investments

Viktor is leading the APS investment team in Bratislava and Bucharest and joined the Investment team in 2013. Viktor is managing acquisitions across all the markets where APS is active or expanding and has experience with the wide spectrum of distressed assets. Prior to joining APS, Viktor was working for more than seven years in private equity. Viktor served as the Head of Fund Administration at Munich Private Equity Partners, prior to that Viktor was working with Swiss Re Private Equity Partners.

Mihai – Alexandru Pop

Transactions Leader

Mihai re-joined us in 2022 and taking on responsibilities as a Transactions Leader. He was previously with APS Investments for five years before spending three years at Balbec Capital in a regional transaction role. Prior to that, Mihai led M&A transactions for EY and a boutique investment bank for 11 years.

Tereza Šimanovská

General Counsel

Tereza is responsible for managing internal legal services and coordinating external legal advisors. She joined APS in 2015 after spending 5 years at Clifford Chance and 2 years at Allen and Overy Prague, where she focused on cross border M&A, corporate and anti-trust law. In 2013 she qualified as advocate registered with Czech Bar Association.

Petr Valenta

Deputy Group Head of Controlling & Fund Administration

Petr joined APS team in 2016 after several year in Big4 and Finance. Jointly with the Investment team he cooperated on execution of distressed assets transactions acquired by APS in CEE & SE.

Peter Janušek

Investment Manager

Peter is an Investment manager in the APS Investments team. Peter brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team, guiding the investment strategies with a focus on delivering strong results for the clients. With a background in finance and a deep understanding of market dynamics, Peter is committed to identifying opportunities and managing risk effectively. Peter believes in a disciplined approach to investing, leveraging analytical insights to make informed decisions that align with the clients' goals.

Jozef Fujka

Investment Manager

Jozef holds an MBA from INSEAD, specializing on restructuring, turnarounds, and bankruptcies. Before joining APS, he served as a Chairman of a BoD at WEM Private Fund, SICAV based in Bratislava, Slovakia, and as a Vice President at AlixPartners based in Dubai, UAE. Jozef has spent whole professional career in the field of corporate finance and investments either as a buy/sell side consultant or in the executive seat.

Stanislav Prada

Investment Manager

Stanislav joined APS Investments more than seven years ago and currently serves as an Investment Manager. He began as a Valuation Analyst, advanced to Head of Valuations, and later transitioned into his current role. Prior to joining APS, Stanislav worked at PwC, bringing strong analytical expertise and a deep understanding of valuation and investment strategy.

Adriana Jurková

Senior Tax & Structuring Consultant

Adriana has been working for APS for over 10 years, mainly dealing with the optimization of acquiring distressed debt portfolios within funds in various jurisdictions. She is also responsible for the correct taxing and accounting settings of the entire APS group. Before joining APS, she worked for a large Central European investment group in the positions of internal auditor and head of accounting and reporting. Adriana has the title of IFRS.

Eva Hlavenová

Head of Fund Administration & Controlling

Eva has already been working at APS for six years. She is responsible for 35 companies in central and southeastern Europe. She leads the Fund Administration department in controlling, reporting, managing external accountants, and cash flow management. She deals with the support and management of statutory and consolidated audits. She is also in charge of setting and implementing internal directives and regulations. Eva is a member of the APS Seeding Knowledge Foundation.

Ioannis Sakarelis

Investment Manager

Yiannis joined APS in 2025, bringing strong expertise in banking and consulting, with a proven track record in strategic business development and market expansion. Before APS, he was Country Manager for a leading European marketplace, focusing on NPE and REO transactions. He holds degrees from Imperial College London and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
